Shelby Roberts is a photographer and educator living in Stillwater, OK. She is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Art, Graphic Design and Art History at Oklahoma State University where she is a 2025 Center for the Humanities Research Fellow. She taught as a full-time lecturer for two years in Española, NM where she was voted 2024’s Adjunct Faculty of the Year at Northern New Mexico College concurrent to teaching intermediate and advanced photography studio courses at the University of New Mexico. Roberts earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography in 2017 from California State University Long Beach in Long Beach, California and her Masters of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2022. She is a past SITE Santa Fe Scholar and School of Fine Arts Ambassador for UNM. Her work has been exhibited regionally and internationally. Before completing her Master's degree she worked as a sushi chef, a barista, a literacy tutor, an assistant to the director of a visual arts non-profit, and as an educator for adults with developmental disabilities.
