Shelby Roberts is a photographer and educator living in Los Alamos, New Mexico. She is a full time lecturer in the Department of Film & Digital Media at Northern New Mexico College in Española, NM, where she was voted 2024’s Adjunct Faculty of the Year. She was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 2022. Roberts earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography in 2017 from California State University Long Beach in Long Beach, California and her Masters of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2022. She is a past SITE Santa Fe Scholar and School of Fine Arts Ambassador for UNM. Her work has been exhibited regionally and internationally. Before completing her Master's degree she worked as a sushi chef, a barista, a literacy tutor, an assistant to the director of a visual arts non-profit,  and as an educator for adults with developmental disabilities.
